Pellow House Rules and Standards

●  No use of drugs or alcohol allowed.

●  Residents agree to random drug and alcohol testing. No tobacco products or vaping allowed on the premises and/or when representing The Pellow House or The Pellow Outreach.

●  No pornography or gambling allowed.

●  Romantic, flirtatious, sexual, non-marital relationships are not allowed while at The Pellow House. All relationships must be approved by Joe Pellow.

●  No physical abuse, verbal abuse, or threat of violence or intimidation will be tolerated.

●  Resident is required to check in with Joe Pellow between 12:00-3:00 p.m. every day. Leave a voicemail if he is not available.

●  Accountability time is 8:00 p.m. for new residents. For all others, accountability time is 10:00 p.m. unless extended by mentor at least 24 hours in advance or with emergency situations. Employment should not conflict with curfew as you are here for your success.

●  All residents are required to have employment. Two meetings a day are required until full time employment is obtained. Meetings are available in the metro area from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.. If a resident does not have gainful employment, the 5:00 a.m. or 7:00 a.m. May Club meeting will be the start of each day unless permission is given in advance.

●  Spirituality is a must in recovery. Attending weekly service and being active in a Christian church of your choice is required. In addition, four hours of community service per month is required.

●  Residents will attend the Pellow House meeting schedule including:

a. AA

b. Celebrate Recovery

c. JRO Men’s Mentoring

d. Other meetings as directed by mentor

●  Residents agree that no prescription medications or over the counter drugs (OTC) will be utilized or purchased without the approval of Joe Pellow. They must be kept in a personal lock box if approved.

●  No guests are allowed at The Pellow House unless approved by Joe Pellow. Approved guests are restricted to the common areas of the house and are the responsibility of the occupant. You must stay with your guest at all times.

●  The resident is financially responsible for any damage they or their guest have caused to the facility or its contents.

●  The resident will respect the privacy and property of other residents and neighbors.

●  To keep a strong, positive relationship, there is NO parking in front of the neighbors’ homes.

●  Residents are expected to practice daily hygiene and good grooming habits. Sideburns, mustaches, and beards should be neatly trimmed. Piercings are not permitted. Shower daily NO EXCUSES.

●  Language should be polite and lacking in vulgarity.

●  Housekeeping responsibilities: Housekeeping/Yard chores will be assigned weekly. Personal area:

  1. Bed made, clothes properly put away, and bathroom left clean at all times

  2. Common area: To be kept clean and neat at all times with any items

    including those used for eating, cooking, crafts, housekeeping, etc... being cleaned and put away immediately following use. Clean bedding weekly.

● Overnight privileges may be granted through Joe Pellow. These requests must be made a minimum of 24 hours in advance. Only if a resident is actively working, has obtained a sponsor, and completed Step 1 of the AA or Celebrate Recovery programs will this request be considered.


Financial Responsibilities of Residents

Move-in cost: $650.00 for Ski Island, or Briarcreek I. $750.00 for Briarcreek II. This includes a $100.00 cleaning fee and the first month’s rent.

Rent is due on the first of each month: $550.00 or $650.00. If rent is not received by the 5th, there will be a $50 late penalty attached.

Failure to abide by the rules may result in immediate expulsion from the program. The Pellow House, mentor or members of Pellow Outreach, Inc. are not responsible for any negative action or injury to a resident. There are no refunds for any monies paid.

Any misrepresentation of material facts will result in immediate expulsion from the house, with no refunds. If asked to leave the program, resident has 24 hours to remove ALL belongings from the home. Pellow Outreach is not responsible for loss of belongings after that time.

The Pellow House is not responsible for any loss or damage to property belonging to the resident. A 30-day notice is required of any resident wishing to leave the Pellow House early.

A one-year commitment is the preferred for maximum effect; however, personal recovery plans are created for each person.
